One way to create box subscriptions in Ooooby is by using core items. These are the main products that customers subscribe to; for example, a small veg box or a large fruit box. Once a core item is in their basket, customers can also add extra products if you choose to allow this.

Steps to Create a Core Item (Box Subscription)

1. Add a Product

  • In the Crew Dashboard, go to Products → All Products → Add a Product.

2. Enter Product Information

  • Fill in the product name, description, and price.

  • From the Product Type dropdown, select Core Product.

3. Define Core Product Details

  • Short Code: Assign a simple code for each box (e.g. LGE for Large Box, SMALL for Small Box).

  • Packing Priority: Set the order your boxes should be packed (1 = first, 2 = second, etc.).

  • Allow Extras in Box: Tick this option if customers should be able to add other products to their order.

4. Save and Duplicate

  • Click Save when finished.

  • To create another core item, scroll down and click 'Create Copy', then adjust the details and save.

Photography Tips

Good images make subscription boxes more appealing:

  • Use different photos for each box size to show the difference in quantity.

  • Keep the style and lighting consistent across all box photos.

  • Show the box filled with fresh produce to give customers a clear idea of what they’re buying.

⚠️ Be Aware!

Always use your own photos or royalty-free images. Publishing copyrighted material without permission can land your shop with BIG fines.
