Available Delivery Options for Add-On Products:

When adding an add-on product to a subscription, you can choose from the following delivery options:

  • Once-off

  • Every Delivery

  • Every Second Delivery (Even)

  • Every Second Delivery (Odd)

Understanding Even and Odd Deliveries

Deliveries are marked as "even" or "odd" based on each customer's delivery history:

  • The first delivery is considered odd.

  • The second delivery is considered even, and so on.

Note: This pattern is unique to each customer. For example, one customer’s upcoming delivery might be odd, while another’s could be even, depending on their order history.

How to Determine if the Upcoming Delivery is Odd or Even

Once a customer has had many deliveries, it may not be immediately obvious whether their next delivery is odd or even. Here’s how you can figure it out:

  1. Check the number of previous purchases:

    • Go to the customer’s Overview page.

    • The number of purchases gives you a hint. For example, if a customer has had 14 purchases, their next one (15) will likely be odd.

  2. Consider potential complications:

    • If the customer has or had a second subscription, the delivery numbers may not follow the typical odd/even pattern, making this method less reliable.

Adding the Add-On Product

To correctly add the add-on product to the subscription:

  1. Navigate to the customer’s subscription details:

    • From the Customer Overview, click Subscriptions > Details.

    • Select Edit to make changes.

  2. Add the product:

    • Choose the item the customer wants to add.

  3. Select the delivery frequency:

    • Choose either Every Second Delivery (Even) or Every Second Delivery (Odd) based on your estimation.

    • Click Update Subscription to save your changes.

Verifying the Add-On Product's Delivery Timing

Now you need to verify if you selected the correct delivery option.

  1. Go to the Admin Dashboard:

    • On the homepage, look for the first upcoming order that is still in planning mode.

  2. Temporarily close the orders:

    • Click Close Orders.

    • Then, select Edit Orders.

  3. Find the customer:

    • Scroll through the order list and find the customer.

  4. Check if the product is on the list:

    • If the product you added appears in the customer’s order list, you’ve selected the right option.

  5. If the product is not there:

    • Go back to the subscription and select the other delivery option (Even or Odd), then Update Subscription.

Reopen Orders for Customer Changes

Once you've confirmed the correct delivery frequency:

  1. Go back to the event overview page.

  2. Click Delete at the bottom of the page.
This will reopen the orders, allowing customers to make changes to their upcoming deliveries.

Summary

By following these steps, you can successfully add an add-on product to a customer's subscription and ensure it aligns with their preferred delivery schedule. Always double-check the delivery timing to avoid any issues.
