Ooooby's system allows for the bulk update of add-on product information via CSV file uploads. This guide will walk you through the process of downloading, adjusting, and uploading product data efficiently.
Downloading Existing Product Data
In the Admin Dashboard, go to
Products->All Products->Bulk Update.Options: You have two choices for downloading your CSV:
Download active add-on products
Download all add-on products
Note: Bulk updating does not support core products. This tool is specifically for add-on products.
Adjusting Product Information
1. Open CSV in Spreadsheet Software
Open the downloaded CSV file in any spreadsheet software like Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel.
2. Update as Needed:
ID Columns: Do not alter the ID columns. These are crucial for ensuring the correct items are updated.
Header Row: The first line (header row) of the CSV should remain unchanged.
Yes/No Fields: These can be answered with Yes/No, True/False, or 1/0.
Unit Types: Valid values include Each, Grams, Kilograms, Millilitres, Litres, Ounces, Pounds, FluidOunces, Pints, Quarts, Gallons. Ensure to use these exact terms for consistency.
Editable Fields: Only the name, amount, price, and active status of products can be updated through this process.
After making the necessary updates, export or save the file as a CSV.
Uploading Updated Product Data
1. Choose Updated CSV
Upload: Back in the
Bulk Updatesection, choose the updated CSV file for upload.
2. Test Upload (Optional)
Test Only Option: If selected, the system will inform you of any errors in the CSV without making any updates. This is a useful step to ensure data accuracy before final submission.
3. Final Upload
Uncheck Test Only: Once you've ensured there are no errors, upload the file with
Test Onlyunchecked. This will update all changed products in the system.
4. Review Changes
After uploading, it's a good practice to review a few products manually in the system to ensure updates have been applied correctly.
