The Ooooby Platform allows you to fine-tune the access levels of various users to ensure that everyone gets the necessary permissions to perform their roles effectively, without compromising customer data security. This article guides you through the process of editing roles and outlines the responsibilities associated with each role.

Step-by-Step Guide to Editing User Roles

1. Navigate to Customer Overview

Start by accessing the Customer Overview for the user whose roles you want to change.

2. Go to Customer Details

Once you're on the Customer Overview page, find and select the 'Customer Details' section.

3. Access More Options

Click on 'More Options' to reveal a dropdown menu.

4. Select Edit Roles

From the dropdown menu, select 'Edit Roles'.

Assigning Roles with Caution

It's crucial to assign roles thoughtfully to maintain the integrity of the system and ensure customer data security. For instance, delivery drivers should be assigned only the 'Customer' and 'Delivery Person' roles. Below is an overview of each role and its access permissions:

  • Administrator: Reserved for Ooooby Platform employees, this role allows for administering other users' access levels, including granting administrator privileges and managing access to multiple hubs.

  • Local Administrator: Typically for hub owners, enabling them to set permissions for other hub employees. It provides access to most hub roles, except a few.

  • Delivery Management: Handles all delivery and logistics operations, including delivery events, delivery areas/groups, hub pauses, and produce management.

  • Finance Management: Manages billing, credit card transactions, refunds, and financial reports.

  • Marketing Management: Controls promotional codes, surveys, and marketing materials.

  • Site Management: Manages recipes, testimonials, custom pages, and people profiles.

  • Product Management: Oversees product listings, including adding, removing, and updating products, as well as bulk uploads.

  • Customer Support: Access to customer accounts and data, excluding financial transactions. This role is implicitly included in most other roles due to its necessity for customer service.

Special Roles:

  • Delivery Person: Access to the driver delivery tool.

  • Advisor: Access to reports.

  • Customer: Basic access to the customer dashboard and related pages. All users should have this role by default to access their dashboards.

  • Supplier: Currently not in use.

Remember: While assigning roles, consider what the minimum access is that the user requires for them to carry out the required tasks, to ensure security and enhance efficiency.

Summary

Proper role management is essential for maintaining the security and functionality of the Ooooby Platform. By carefully assigning roles, you can ensure that all users have the access they need to perform their tasks efficiently while safeguarding sensitive customer information. Always assign roles with caution and review permissions regularly to keep your system secure.
