Managing delivery events in Ooooby can sometimes require the removal of specific products from purchases. Whether you're dealing with an Add-On or a Core Product, the bulk-delete tool on the Delivery Event Details page offers a streamlined solution. This article guides you through the process of using this tool and, if necessary, communicating changes to affected customers.

Deleting an Add-On Product

  1. Navigate to the Active Orders Page: Find the active order cycle from which you want to remove an add-on product.

  2. Select the Add-On Product: Look for the bulk-delete tool and choose the add-on product you wish to delete.

  3. Confirm Deletion: Once selected, confirm the deletion. This action will remove the add-on product from all purchases within that specific delivery event. After confirmation, the product will no longer appear in the delivery event.

Deleting a Core Product

  1. Access the Active Orders Page: Locate the specific active orders cycle you're working on.

  2. Use the Bulk-Delete Tool for Core Products: Select the core product you intend to remove. Remember, this tool will delete all purchases containing that product, but only if the product is the sole item in their purchase. It's particularly useful for clearing out empty custom boxes from an event.

  3. Review and Confirm: Before finalising the deletion, ensure this action aligns with your intentions. Deleting a core product might remove entire purchases if they only contain that item.

    • Important Note: A core product is essential in a purchase and cannot be removed without first deleting any add-ons from the purchase. To delete an entire purchase, including all add-ons, you should use the Edit Orders page instead.

Optional: Communicating with Customers

After removing products from purchases, you might want to inform affected customers about the changes. The platform provides an option to load all affected customer details into the email tool directly from the bulk-delete action.

  1. Select the Option to Communicate: After deleting the products, tick the checkbox to load customer details into the email tool.

  2. Craft Your Message: Write a clear and informative email explaining the changes to their purchase.

  3. Send the Emails: Review your message for accuracy and clarity, then send it to the affected customers.
