Format product descriptions using the Write and Preview tabs in the product edit page. Rich text editing in Ooooby helps you create clear, well-formatted descriptions that are easy for customers to read. You can add paragraphs, links, and emphasis to make your products stand out.
Where to find the rich text editor
Go to All Products in your Ooooby dashboard.
Edit an existing product or create a new one.
Scroll to the Description section.
You’ll see two tabs at the top of the field:
Write: Where you enter and format your content.
Preview: Where you see how it will appear to customers.
Using the Write tab
The Write tab features a formatting toolbar at the top right. This allows you to style your text without needing to know any code.
How to use the toolbar:
Bold (B) & Italic (I): Highlight your text and click these buttons to add emphasis. This is perfect for highlighting Allergens for example.
Lists: Use the bulleted or numbered list buttons to make ingredients or features easy to scan.
Links: Click the link icon to attach a URL. Use this to link to a producer’s "About Us" page or a specific farm profile for example.
Images: Use the image icon to embed a photo directly into the description.

Using the Preview tab
Before you save, click the Preview tab. This toggles the view to show you exactly how the formatting will render. It’s the best place to check that:
Your links are clickable.
Paragraph spacing looks natural.
Bolded text (like allergens) stands out clearly.

How customers see it
Once you save your changes, the formatted description appears on your public shopfront. Well-formatted text helps build trust and makes it easier for customers to quickly find the information they need to make a purchase.

Best practice tips
Highlight Allergens: Always use the Bold button for allergens so they are legally clear and easy to find.
Keep it scannable: Use short paragraphs and lists. Most customers "scan" descriptions on mobile devices.
Tell a Story: Use the link button to connect customers with the producers and farms behind each product.
